Francis Bundy in the wagon he built to transport his family to Colorado, in an effort to cure Bertha of tuberculosis. Left to right: Ada, Bertha (Segar) Bundy, Esther Bundy, Lindsay Bundy, Francis Bundy (William's notes identify Ada as a sister of Bertha; however, other references indicate Ada was Bertha's niece by Bertha's sister Ida). William Bundy's biographical notes indicate Ada accompanied them for part of the way, and then returned. Mary Hundeby remembers her grandmother Lucy saying that Ada accompanied the Bundys all the way to Colorado, but returned after some sort of falling out. (Original: Janet Lucius) Viewed: 87 times.

The caption on the back indicates this is Francis with Bertha at the organ and Lindsay on the right. Couple in front are unidentified. (Original: Janet Lucius) Viewed: 99 times.

Lucy Whaley and her Aunt Ida ("Idie") Boughton. Lucy was raised by the Boughton family, who took her in when she was three years old. (Both of Lucy's parents died in a typhoid epidemic.) Ida was herself adopted, and grew up as a step-sister of Bertha Segar in the George Segar household. (Original: Manda Baldwin.) Viewed: 97 times.

June Bell Horning holding June Bundy, 1908. June Horning was a double or triple cousin. She was the granddaughter of Thomas Bundy (brother of William) and Nancy Hevener (sister of Emeline). In addition, her mother's maiden name was Samantha Bundy. June Horning was June Bundy's namesake, and her middle name "Bell" went to June's sister Beuhlah. Lucy said in later years that Lucy did not like it when June Horning visited, because "Papa had a twinkle in his eye" when June Horning was around. (Original: Mary Hundeby) Viewed: 102 times.

Francis, and it must be Lucy and most likely William on the right. This picture looks different from most pictures of Lucy, so it might seem like it could be Bertha. However, the picture on the organ right next to Francis Bundy's moustache is plainly the picture of June Bundy standing in a chair when she was three years old. Also note the picture of William and Emeline on the organ behind the music stand. (Original: Janet Lucius) Viewed: 99 times.
